The Sage

Banners waving in the wind of the circling sun

All existent things are composed of energy and intelligence.
Intelligence is forever influencing energy and
energy is forever actively reacting
in cycles of becoming and begoning.

To hold what is passing is painful.
To grasp at what has not yet arrived is foolish.

The Great Man Is He
who is in harmony in his attributes with heaven + earth;
He Only Is The Sage
who knows to advance + to retire
Men of affairs are proud of their cunning and skills,
But in the TAO they still have much to learn.
Can sagehood be attained through study?
It can.
Hence The Solution For The Sage
who would change and transform the world lies in water.
A spirit lives on the mountain.
His mind is free from all thought.
The Superior Man
Thus the superior man
Taoist Chronicles
But when you know
What is eternally so
